Newfoundland Musings for a relatively QUIET, Monday.

Ahhh, today was a nice day..Everyone is HERE, with me.. my world is RIGHT.  I still had to stress lick my foot, cause mom shut a door so as not to disrupt anyone while she was drying some paint with a hair dryer.  HOW??? was I ??to know??? that it was nothing to be alarmed about??

 I am, as you may have guessed a bit sensitive?I DO, like it when everything and body is accounted for, settled and available to scratch my head.

 Although I must say, that when my human sets to painting for hours on end, I try to be the bestest and most quietest dog. Sometimes when I peek through my eyelids (checking for holes) I 'll see that there are new dogs hangin in our room. Today, a Husky arrived...and a new brown newfie head, and lemme see ,, hold on lemme go look...  OK role call... 3 cocker spaniels  , 4 newf puppies, 1 husky so far, but there's room for two more, and there's a newf and a cat. REALLY mom, a CAT?  and there's also a mat with some dog bones on it. That one looks yummy..  and then there's the other stuff  that she works with.  Not paint. Those long sticks.. they make a sort of scratchy noise if i listen really closely. My human is the quietest when she works on those.. she likes to listen to that box in the living room while she does those. 
I never bother her when she's working.. except maybe to let her know that Maggie is barking.
NO, she doesn't live here with us.. she lives on the other side of the fence. But she could be letting us know of important neighborhood news.  WOOF,   IT could be important! WOOFWOOFWOOF  Or there might be a some people passing by. ?  Are trying to figure out where I live?

I MUST, bark at the window.??RIGHT?? AH ROOOO ROOOOO ROOOO... Sometimes after I stop barking I can  hear the human muttering those special words, followed by my name, really loud, and well, you can imagine the rest...

Did I mention that I"m the bestest,most quietest, helpful Newfoundland..
Somedays, I"m even DEMURE!.

I was going to tell you all about Jonesy,going to school for his exam, but i need his human, Liz, to help me to tell it.  and I think that he brought something home in his bag.. it looks purple.. He said it was a ribbon, but I don't know what that means.. Maybe after dinner, Liz and Jonesy will help me tell their tale.  I was so lonely, and missed them so much.

I'm glad that the exams are over..

HEAD DOWN.. hope that she'll get more coffee, and well, maybe more on the subject of OG, later. I hope not.. I have a story to tell you about the this past weekend.. I was sooooooooooo lonely.. Jonesy had to go to school for an exam. THREE days in a row.

OH DANG  where 's Jonesy Going?  he just had to get in his car with his human. i hope he comes home soon. I miss him. His human's been talking about a show, but i don't know what that means. 

what's in a name?

hi there everyone.. Today, I'm hangin with my distant cousin, Jonesy. (aka joe joe, peps, peppermint jo jos, goji bean, beaner.) I wish that my human could NOT choose so many nicknames. But i do,  understand that he is sort of VERY handsome, and quite smart. Did I tell you?? He's a Border Collie . He looks a lot like ME.. except he has some white markings on his head. I didn't get any of those.. hmmmm maybe it's border collie "thing".. Nah, cause my friend, in Colorado, Finley has white and black on her head. My auntie in Montana calls my black spots, FRECKLES.  I have so many nick names too.. My human calls me "girlfriend, or girly bits", and my aunties in SD, CO and MT call me, MissyREO, McReo and Freckles respectively . I will know lots of names as we continue this adventure.  For today, mom is shouting names at that "box" that she keeps staring out.. her fingers move very fast. I can hear the tapping from the hallway.. I"m safe out here. She's muttering about biz cards,  pictures, and marketing. wish me well. I'll go in and be really cute, and adorable and distract her shortly...

My Auntie, in Montana, has a lot of big WHITE dogs at her house. She brought me this Bell from her Germany. ??do you think that she thinks that i look like a "COW"??  . heavens!

Me and Finley at her house.Finley has lots of nick names too. my human's favorite is "Finny da Newf".(sing:: winny da pooh"Yes, I almost ALWAYS have something to say about it, when the camera comes out. Isn't Finely the cutest? I hope she'll be my BF forever!

ok , Jonesy, Jo Jo, peppermint JO JO.. here we are... i brought my sheep, where's your BUG?? she seems a little quieter now.. she must not be looking at that box.

What is "OG"???

 My human, Jenn is muttering some new words this morning. Some of them are familiar, and that's what's troubling. You know the ones that look like this  *^&%#.  .
 She staring at that box, again.
The unfamiliar words sound something like   "OG"  but this means nothing to me, YET. 
The familiar ones, I recognize as stress release and so I will just lie in the hall until she settles down.  I may have to stress lick my left front paw, if this continues! Wait!  did I leave my favorite stuffie in there with her. OH,  HEAVENS. noooooooooooo.. I"ll have to enter  newfie stealth mode, and retrieve it to safety...
 maybe she could take my cue , for once? ..
 lie down in the hall.. be quiet... this too shall pass, sleep it away.
I'll let you know if I can get this new word figured out.
oh, look E there. she's got the paint brush in her hand.
 THIS is extremely good news.
She SINGS when she paints, and dances alittle. and smiles alot.
Oh, I didn't tell you?? My human is an artist. 
If anyone knows what this OG word is all about, I think that she could use some help.

Here's a new blog that will chronicle the adventures of Reo the Newfoundland Dog, and Jenn. They are making their way all over the countryside, dog sitting and making lots of new friends. we'll do a little "previous" story telling and catch up so that she can add her two cents worth,  twice a week.  She has lots to say, but no thumbs. Her human will have to type the updates, and she's been busy with art work.
